The White Stuff

If you're living in Blighty, you won't have failed to have noticed we've been having some rather unseasonal weather. That's right, snow... In Winter. Who would have thought it? However being rather busy lately I hadn't really had the chance to venture from my warm desk out into the cold to make the most of the weather photographically, that is until yesterday when we were treated to what could have been a final frosting for the season. It would have been rude not to make the most of it.

Sure enough, the awesome Jess Roberts called me up as the college she works at (lecturing photography and graphic design) was closed for a snow day. A plan was coming together! We ventured out into the rural Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend County, keeping a look at and stopping when we saw something that caught our eye. And for the first time despite living so close to the coast, we even ventured to see the beach in the snow... Now that was something else.

I can't believe it's the first time I've ventured down to the coast in the snow, being so close and all. I've even seen Las Vegas in the snow, and that's hardly a short trip or a common occurance... It is in the middle of the desert after all.

That last photo is in full colour.

Anyway, I hope the snow hasn't caused you too much disruption and that you've all been out enjoying it like these Police Officers from Oxfordshire. And thanks again to Jess, go check out her website as she's fantastic and life would be so much duller without her.
